Whistler Glacier Ascent Hike

  • You will take the Whistler Gondola to the top and get geared up by the guide at the mountain top office. From there you will hike out to the base of the glacier where the guide will go over the basic techniques of ascending the glacier. The group will make their way up at a moderate pace and enjoy the views of the mountains and valleys all around. Why take this tour?

On this  approximately 3-hour Glacier Hike, your guide will lead you across glacial snow and ice into the Whistler Bowl. You will be led on a short-roped mountaineering ascent of the alpine bowl –  just like the world’s great peaks were traditionally climbed! Learn about glaciology and how to travel on and climb a glacier. At the top, enjoy the stunning alpine views from high above Whistler Village.
