Whale Watching in the Azores, Terceira Island | OceanEmotion

The Azores are considered one of the best places in the world for Whale Watching, here it have been registered already about 27 species of whales and dolphins on the past years, which represents one third of the worldwide whales and dolphins species known. Aiming for a responsible Whale Watching, we combine whale and dolphin spotter with our expertise on finding cetaceans from the boat and keeping them close in a safe and non-threatening way, according to the Azorean conduct code to approach cetaceans.

• A land-based spotter will do preliminary research on your behalf
• A local guide will provide commentary
• If you don't see any cetaceans, you can join another tour for free

Get the chance to spot whales and dolphins, no matter the season; the marine mammals live in the waters around the Azores Islands year-round. As you sail, you'll learn about cetaceans and other marine creatures while you take in the oceanic scenery. And if you don't end up spotting anything, you can give it another go by joining a later tour at no extra cost.
