Wear beach clothing over swimsuit, sunglasses and cap or hat. Bring your camera, towel, a change of clothes and cash for dock tax, fee to the protected natural area, souvenirs, photos, tips or additional expenses. Due to this activity is carried out in open sea waters, the participants must be good swimmers. Groups of maximum 10 participants per boat. Please avoid the use of chemical substances, such as sunscreen, cream, makeup, etc. Be advised that Mexican law prohibits: Swim with whale sharks without a lifejacket or flotation device. All swimmers must remain at least 6 feet away from whale sharks, and are not allowed to touch or hold them at all. It is important not to interfere with their movements by placing yourself in front of them and avoid making any sudden movements in their presence. Whale sharks are endangered species, so it is mandatory to comply with these rules.
