Whale Shark Amazing Experience in the Caribbean Sea

Whale sharks, despite their enormous size, pose no danger to humans. Actually, they're pretty affectionate, and they're usually playful with divers. This shark is very often observed by divers and tourists aboard boats off the Yucatan Peninsula on Holbox Island.

A bilingual guide will tell you everything you need to know about the whale shark, its behavior, migration and feeding. After it’s time to dive 2 to 3 dives with the whale shark, you enter the water in pairs with the help of the guide. (According to the physical condition of the swimmers). Sometimes you can spot large groups of whale sharks and even giant manta rays, which gives an extra thrill to the adventure. At the end of the swim, you will enjoy a delicious ceviche on board the boat and refreshing drinks.

At the meeting point we provide the necessary information for the tour, the necessary equipment and we invite you to a light breakfast to start the day with everything. And being in Holbox Then, we walk to the dock, where our boat awaits us to start the day until we meet the whale sharks.

The boat trip is one to two hours and on the way we can observe different species. Once in the area, we will swim with the whale shark in groups of two plus the guide. This is for safety reasons, to respect the whale shark's space, and to ensure the best possible experience.

On the way back, we will return to Holbox where we can get to see (if we are lucky because it is not guaranteed) turtles, cat sharks, lobsters, squid, octopus and different reef fish.

Finally, we will go to a restaurant and swim in the calm waters of the place. We will also eat a dish of your choice freshly prepared by our team. You will also have time to meet and walk in the town of Holbox.
