Lifting off from the exclusive downtown Wellington helipad gives you a great perspective over this vibrant city and its surrounds. Instantly you will be able to spot key Wellington landmarks such as Te Papa, Westpac Stadium, Oriental Bay and more.
Flying further west towards the majestic Makara wind farm you start to experience the landscape beyond the city and the rolling hills separating it from the wild South Coast.
Upon reaching Ohau Point the helicopter will turn towards the southern coastline where seal colonies line the rugged shores.
A lighthouse stands as a testament to the shipping dangers of which the Cook Strait are well known for and marks the spot where weather dependent you will have the chance to land and enjoy an up close experience with the seals.
The helicopter will lift off once more soaring along the coastline. Out your window you can spot historic observation bunkers used in World War II, prior to turning inland to capture more of the city and its colorful buildings before landing back at Queens Wharf.
