Begin the day with convenient hotel pickup from Perth. Then relax in the tour vehicle and enjoy the scenery as you head toward the day's first stop: Avon Valley's founding town of York. A quick stop allows you to have a look around and purchase morning tea or coffee, if desired, before moving on to Hyden and a cemetery dedicated to the hardworking sheepdogs of the area.
Admire the rock formation known as Hippo's Yawn and then sit down for an Aussie-style country lunch before heading on to the impressive Wave Rock. Next, stop at Mulka’s Cave, a hollowed-out boulder important in Aboriginal culture, and the granite formation called the Humps. Then drive back to Perth, taking a different route that includes a country stop for afternoon tea (own expense).
