Waterfalls of Damajagua from Puerto Plata

Depending on your hotel's location, your pickup time will be between 7am and 9am; see 'Additional Information' for details. Be ready with a swimsuit and towel for pickup in a open top, safari-style truck, leaving from Puerto Plata. After about 30 minutes' drive, arrive at the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua. Disembark for a short hike (about 30 minutes) uphill to the top of the falls; then swim, jump, and slide down the natural cascades. The National Park requires children to be 8 years or older to explore the upper cascades, small children can swim in the lower cascades with supervision.  Back in the truck, drive back to Puerto Plata, stopping at a local zoo to meet some indigenous animals, such as squirrel monkeys and parrots. Dig in to a home-cooked traditional Dominican meal before returning to your Puerto Plata hotel for drop-off.
