This full-day tour of Warsaw starts with a hotel pickup from Lodz a little before 8a.m. For this tour, you can choose your group size from one to eight people (prices vary).
Once you get into your vehicle, sit and relax on the hour-and-a-half drive over to Poland’s capital city. Your Warsaw tour begins in Old Town. Follow your guide around the area, as he or she tells you stories about its history and culture. See Warsaw Royal Castle, St. John's Cathedral, the Warsaw Mermaid monument, and the Warsaw Barbican.
Next, head over to Pilsudski Square to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Hear why this tomb is important to the city before continuing on to Krasinski Square. Your guide fills you in on the WWII Warsaw Uprising that happened in this square in 1944.
Lastly, stroll along the Royal Way with your guide, and catch sight of the University of Warsaw and Holy Cross Church. Go off on your own for about four hours to explore the city at your own pace. Your day ends with a car ride back to Lodz.
