This is an easy family bike tour on a wide and well maintained biking trail.  Whether you’re 7 or 70 this is a bike tour you can do.    You also only need ride the bike track one way and it’s mainly downhill with a gentle gradient.  

The biking trail meanders alongside one of Wanaka’s well known rivers.  There’s a lot to see and do and plenty of time to stop and enjoy the views, take some fun photos of your bike tour and relax with a cool drink or cup of tea and a snack on the grassy river banks. This easy family bike tour passes by a standing wave facility on the river and you will often see people kayaking and river surfing as you ride by.  The river water is crystal clear and if you keep your eyes open, you’ll see also spot some trout.  

Your friendly Wanaka Bike Guide will be with you all the way making sure all runs smoothly and they’ll also keep you entertained with stories about the river and the surrounding area.  They can also give you some helpful pointers if it’s been awhile since you’ve been on a bike.

Our easy family bike tour ends with a crossing of a spectacular new swing bridge spanning the river and your guide will take care of all the equipment and transport you back to your accommodation or Wanaka Town Centre as required.
