The Quiet Man Film Locations Walking Tour is a must for fans of the John Wayne classic, The Quiet Man. The guided tour brings visitors to the original film locations including Inisfree, Castletown, the Pat Cohan's Bar, the Dying Man's House, the Reverend Playfair's House, the fight scenes, the courting scenes and the "patty fingers in the holy water" scenes. Visitors hear: what happened when Hollywood invaded the sleepy village of Cong in 1951; what the film stars were like; how they interacted with the locals; and how the locals became intimately involved in the making of the movie. The tour includes entrance to The Quiet Man Museum. Visitors can dress up in costume for photos and re-enactments. A great interactive experience full of good old Irish craic. The walking tour and museum entry last approximately 1 hour. The tour consists of a short, easy stroll around the village of Cong with stops every few minutes at the movie locations.

Amazing experience! Highly recommended!

Gerry is so knowledgeable and has so much experience! Very in depth tour and lots of fun!! A must see for anyone who’s seen the movie! Gerry’s love for this beautiful little village shows through! We loved it!

Loved the tour, huge fans of the movie!

Very excited because we watch the movie every St Pat’s Day. The tour showed us many of the important places and props from the movie. My husband knows many of the famous lines from the movie so we were impressed they were included in the tour.

Quiet Man Tour

My father loves the Quiet Man movie and asked if a visit to the Village of "Inisfree" was on our agenda. It wasn't at the time but when we found we had a "free" day, we decided to go. Our terrific host at the The House Hotel arranged a taxi to bring us there and back so we purchased the tix and set off. We visited all the major homes and sites in the movie and not much has changed in 75 years...if you are a fan of the movie, I highly recommend this tour....it is well worth the money and when we got home, we watched the movie to see we walked in the foot steps of stars!!

Must do on Mayo

It's a must do in Cong. The guide brings to life the scenes from the movie with lots of onteresting insights. The museum at the end is wonderful. A little expensive at 25.00 per person.
