Walking Tour in the Vicentinean Coast

We will appreciate nature and feel the breeze from the Atlantic Ocean, learn from the local history, traditions and plants.

The walk starts in Carrapateira, a small fisherman's village and continues to the complex dune sistem near Bordeira beach and the mouth of the Bordeira stream.

Then we pass in the Pontal da Carrapateira, with several viewpoints to the ocean, pass an small fishing harbour and an ancient islamic settlement.

We will pass by the Amado Beach, one of the surfers' favorite beach, and we will return to the village, passing by a big pine tree wood.

In Carrapateira, there is a perfect symbiosis between the sea and its inhabitants. Additional points of interest in this route are: the Bordeira beach, with its unparalleled dunes constantly changing; Pontal da Carrapateira, where there are several terraces to contemplate the ocean and where you can watch the shellfish-gatherers; an ancient Islamic village of fishermen and the beach of Amado, one of the favorites of the surfers.
