Waikiki Turtle Snorkel & Sail combo on Hawea Catamaran

The crew (Carlos, Des, Julia and Tommy) were amazing and made it a wonderful experience. We saw several turtles and had a great time

Let me start with this: I HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST with Dez, Julia, Tommy, and Captain Carlos!!! This was my FIRST TIME snorkeling AND being out in open water, so I was equal parts excited, nervous, and ready to mind my business on the boat. But this crew made me feel so comfortable, safe, and excited to get in that water! And BABYYYY... once I got in?! I was a whole ass underwater Natty-Geo correspondent. I saw a needlefish, a little "chub" fish, AND a fish that looked just like DORY!!! I was swimming around like, "OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT!" every five seconds. LOL. Dez, Julia, Tommy, and Captain Carlos were honestly the dream team. Fun, welcoming, patient, gorgeous and just genuinely good vibes from beginning to end. They made my first snorkeling experience feel like a little Waikiki adventure I'll be talking about for a LONG time. And before anybody comes for my pictures... I PROMISE I HAVE BETTER PHOTOS!!! They're just living their best life on the GoPro right now. Hehe. Captain Carlos, Dez, Julia, and Tommy -- THANK YOU for making my first snorkeling experience so memorable. I hope I get lucky enough to have another adventure with y'all before | leave the island!

My husband and I took this tour when we were in town and decided last minute we wanted to snorkel with turtles. The team was so nice, offered to take pictures of us, and made sure we saw turtles. The cocktails and sailing after snorkeling was very enjoyable. I also appreciated the Waikiki pick up so we could walk from our hotel. Worth every penny.

Me and my friends booked this tour. We paid over $709 for this activity. Meeting spot was 11:45, we arrived 11:44 and it was already in the water leaving. $700 down the drain. And they didn’t answer their phone either.

After watching a few of the catamarans leaving directly from Waikiki beach, Hawea caught my eye, so I explored further with our hotel on their thoughts for a snorkel trip to Turtle Canyon. I’m so pleased we booked! A beautiful and clean vessel with a tip top crew … Bella ( captain), Cameron, (1st mate) Sophie and Phoenix made every guest feel safe and comfortable. Snorkelling gear was great. Saw quite a few turtles and Cameron showed us a place they tend to hang out to watch them from above. He also gently retrieved a small octopus from the ocean bed to show us - an added bonus before the critter swam off. The trip back to shore was enhanced with the sails in full flight, gently sailing the sea to Diamond Head with great tunes and the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail (only $8 for a great Mai tai!)… surely it was 5 o’clock somewhere 😆. We also loved the use of the pu (seashell horn) to alert swimmers of the vessels departure and arrival to shore. There’s lots of operators to choose from but you won’t go wrong making Hawea your choice… we plan to book another one of their tours before we leave … Happy Hour or the Sunset cruise looks very tempting!
