About operator:

Ortigia "declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005 and included in the World Heritage List. Many of the island's attractions are a stone's throw from the house: a short walk through one of the typical alleys of Ortigia will take you to Piazza del Duomo, with its unique Cathedral built on the ruins of a Greek temple (5th century BC). Less than 150 meters away, you will find one of Syracuse's landmarks, the Temple of Apollo and only 700mt from the beautiful "Fontana di Aretusa", a freshwater spring populated by ducks and papyrus plants, whose origin is rooted in Greek mythology. The Bellomo Museum, the typical and picturesque fish market of Via Trento and the "Castello Maniace", a fortress located at the end of the island, are within walking distance. The island of Ortigia is the beating heart of the whole city: just a square kilometer yet an enchanting treasure trove of treasures and natural beauties ready to amaze you. Temples, castles, ancient aristocratic residences
