Meet your pilot at Lihue Airport and get a safety briefing before gearing up with a vintage-style cloth helmet and goggles and settling into the open cockpit. You also wear a two-way radio to hear live narration. After takeoff, head north over Wailua River, Kapaa, and Anahola mountain range, soaring over Kilauea Lighthouse at Kauai’s northernmost point. A highlight is flying above the waterfall-laced crater of Mount Waialeale. You also see Wailua and Opaeka’a Falls before turning towards the beaches of Poipu. Get a glimpse of Hawaii's largest coffee plantation and Hanapepe Valley, and then take a U-turn inside the rust-colored ravines of Waimea Canyon.
