The arrival of the little wooden huts in the town squares of Alsace’s towns and villages is a major event. The Christmas markets mark the return of time-honored festivities. A world of delicious fragrances, delightful craft goods and lights quickly takes shape along the rows, where some surprising and mouthwatering discoveries await the markets’ visitors.

This morning depart from Strasbourg and head toward Colmar. Christmas in Colmar’s Historical town center means an historic setting made magical by amazing Christmas illuminations that blend perfectly with the wonderful lighting designed to enhance the town’s heritage. The pedestrian city center with its major architectural treasures that stretch from the Middle Ages to the 19th century is decorated like in a dream, a veritable open-air theatre where the warm Christmas mood envelops the heart of the town. Here, enjoy some free time in the city to discover one or several Christmas Markets on your own, as the town holds 5 different markets.

Then, depart along the famous Alsace Wine Route to pass through some of the most beautiful villages of Alsace. The afternoon program will depend on the date of your tour. Eguisheim, Riquewihr (Medieval market), Colmar and Strasbourg cities host a market every single day. On the 6th, 7th and 8th of December, your stop will certainly include the Christmas Market of Bergheim, on the 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th of December you will have the opportunity to discover Ribeauvillé market, and almost every single day of this festive season, the market of Kaysersberg will be ready to show you all it has to offer. After the visits return to Strasbourg.

Cancellation Policy

    Operator strictly adheres to its cancellation policy and will make no exceptions to the policy. If Guest chooses to cancel his or her reservation, Operator must receive written notice of said cancellation in writing via certified mail, fax or e-mail sent to [email protected] (with confirmation of receipt from Operator), and Guest shall be subject to the following cancellation fee schedule: Ophorus requires full payment by credit card, internet payment (through our website) or wire transfer (Wire transfer fees at the charge of the Guest) to make a reservation. We accept payment by AMEX, Visa and Master Card. There is no charge or service fee for processing credit card payments except with American Express +3%. For any cancellation, the following fees will be deducted from the refund: > Up to 24 hours prior to departure: no cancellation fees except the booking fees. > 24 hours prior to departure and less > no refund All semi private tours depart on time. Clients should present themselves at the allocated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the tour. Driver/guide will not wait unless Ophorus has been previously informed that the client will be late with a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes. Beyond that waiting time, tours will depart and Ophorus cannot be held responsible for clients missing their tour.
