Good 3/4 of day trip
It’s DEFINITELY a longer trip than it feels, it states 4 hrs and it’s all of that. Not saying the views and atmosphere wasn’t great, but after a while each rock formation starts to look like the others LOL! But the enclosed seated cars are amazing lots of windows to view and the service was FANTASTIC! On our voucher we have a meal ticket the cafe food was AWESOME! Super delicious and they don’t skimp on the meat and toppings! (Get the smoked pulled pork sandwich) 1/2 way through the trip the locomotive unhooks from the front and side tracks to the rear for the return trip to the station. Each enclosed passenger car has and open air car that changes your entire view and gets you some fresh air! Everyone at this venue was SUPER FRIENDLY and Happy we chose this excursion.
A great afternoon!
It was a great afternoon. The included lunch is WAY better, with way more choices, than I expected. Then we sat in comfy seats and got a nice snack tray with a little champagne (for a sweet toast) and a bottle of water. You can get up and walk around and head to the open air car (if you want). Or you can just relax and get a drink, or not, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Also the bathroom on the actual train car is surprisingly spacious and not freaky at all. My only caveat is to not go sleepy because the gentle rocking of the train car can be dangerous if you're trying NOT to fall asleep. But Josh and Megan (our hosts/bartenders) were friendly, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. I'm pretty cheap but this was totally worth the price for my husband and I. Very enjoyable!
Inconsiderate passengers
Need better gate control upon boarding- other passengers wandered over to the front of the line. No choice of seating on train at check-in. Other passengers talking loudly, preventing us to hear conductor or information over loudspeakers.

This was a fun afternoon! Storytelling, beautiful scenery and great food and drink. I bought the lunch, too, and it was the biggest turkey sandwich I've ever seen! I ate most of it. I would not have bought the lunch if I had known that Charcuterie was included. It would have been plenty. Nice touch wit the champagne toast, too. Classy.
Enjoyed and was fine. Got to see a lot of landscapes that we wouldn’t see from the road.
Good experience, but unable to hear narrative from overhead speakers due to additional music in background during the entire train ride. So didn’t get the full experience in history
