The food was excellent and the history was extremely informative. And Vanessa our guide was the superb.

Take this tour if you want to spend (4) hours learning about the Jewish community in Venice. Don’t take it if you’re looking forward to a variety of tasty treats. Quite frankly, most of it was not edible!
Great food and history tour
Great experience mixing history of Jewish people and Jewish ghetto in Venice along with good food and drink. Our tour leader Vanessa was passionate about the subject, and worked hard to select great food for us
Highlight of Our Trip
We absolutely loved our tour of the Jewish Ghetto with Vanessa. She was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, warm, and genuinely passionate about Jewish history, especially the history of the Jewish community in Venice and Italy. She made the whole experience feel personal and authentic. She took us to delicious local restaurants and brought us to a Jewish art gallery where we ended up buying a piece of art to bring home. It’s something we’ll always have to remind us of this special experience in Venice. We learned so much, but it never felt like a history lesson!
