- Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the Vatican; consider using a smaller bag.

Good to know
- If you purchase a reduced ticket and you are not under 16 years old or a student under 26 years old with a valid STUDENT PHOTO ID, the Vatican will deny your entry and you will not be able to visit the Vatican or join the tour.
- If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
- Knees & Shoulders MUST be covered for both men & women.
- All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Some monuments or areas may be under restoration and subject to last minute closures. Please pay attention to any messages we may send regarding potential changes.
- Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
- St. Peter's Basilica is subject to last minute closures for religous events, and the Papal audience on some Wednesday and Saturday mornings. In the event that it is closed if you have selected the option to visit St. Peter's Basilica you will have an extended tour of the Vatican museums. The Basilica is free to enter and we do not have any control in the event of these closures it is not possible to provide a refund under these circumstances.

wonderful experince with so much clarity
i booked my vatican tour for me and my dad through Viator. Maya tours office was very closeby and sorted, no confusions. We got Christina as our guide. I can most confidently say she was the best tour of our entire trip of Italy. She was quick (not too quick), she knew where she had to pause for us to view the places which were important or beautiful. she would move along with the group swiftly between the crowds. the best part was that she explained all the major points at the beginning itself so we knew exactly what we were seeing and the history behind it. she didnt keep explaining as we went as it is distracting and we dont really listen at that time but her way of guiding was excellent. i would recommed taking her tour without a doubt. she was amazing. also the sistine chapel will blow your mind and also the beautiful details in vatican.

Not the requested language. Very disappointing...
Had booked a private guided tour in French since April 14. Upon our arrival they tell us that it is in Italian. Finally, there was a guide available on site but his French was difficult to understand. Not interested in the children, one does not ask them any questions. Very, very disappointing for the price.... One thousand euros
It was worth every penny...
It was worth every penny to book the private tour. Too long of a tour and I’m unable to process all the information. Deborah was our guide and she was FANTASTIC!!

Maggie was a wonderful tour guide and her depth of knowledge about the history of the Vatican and how she delivered it was very impressive!! Definitely do this tour - when in Rome !!
