- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
- If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
- If you purchase a reduced ticket and you are not under 16 years old or a student under 26 years old with a valid STUDENT PHOTO ID, the Vatican will deny your entry and you will not be able to visit the Vatican or join the tour.
- All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
- Knees & Shoulders MUST be covered for both men & women.
- Some monuments or areas may be under restoration and subject to last minute closures. Please pay attention to any messages we may send regarding potential changes.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- It is not possible to contact guides when they are inside the Vatican museums, it is the clients responsibility to stay with the guided tour group, if you lose your guide inside the Vatican, there is nothing we can do in this case.
- Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
- St. Peter's Basilica is subject to last minute closures for religous events, and the Papal audience on some Wednesday and Saturday mornings. In the event that it is closed if you have selected the option to visit St. Peter's Basilica you will have an extended tour of the Vatican museums. The Basilica is free to enter and we do not have any control in the event of these closures it is not possible to provide a refund under these circumstances.

Our excursion to the...
Our excursion to the Vatican was wonderful. There were any other groups there and it got a little congested, but our guide would find an open space and hurry us to it. She was great. Every excursion we book through Viator during our European vacation was excellent. We even booked a couple for the next day and a representative was easy to find with our tickets and escorted us to the skip the line entrance. We never had to stand in a long line. Some were with a guide and for others we were on our own. We will definitely continue to use Viator for any of our vacations.
Vatican tour
Thanks to our guide we saw everything the tour described and maybe even some more. The skip the line is a must. Do not hesitate to pay for it. It is worth every penny.
Best Vatican tour ever with Deny
The Vatican tour we took on Friday 9/18 with Deny was the best Vatican tour we’ve ever taken in the 5 times we’ve been to Rome in the last 30 + years and worth every penny!! Her knowledge and stories brought life to the time long ago when this was all created and gave us a deeper insight and understandings to the Sixteen chapel and the Vatican as a whole! Excellent!
Ana, our guide, is wonderful. She has a lot of knowledge of history and interesting anecdotes that she conveyed to us with great warmth, which made the trip very enjoyable. We went with my 80-year-old mother and there were other elderly people in the group whom she never left behind. The truth is I don't know how she managed to control such a large group with such diverse characteristics. We learned a lot and were very happy.
You get what you pay for—worth it!!
The skip-the-line package is worth every penny! The tour guides run this place—they know exactly what they’re doing and it’s extremely helpful when navigating the building. Our tour guide shared lots of insightful information while trying to keep us cool and timely as well. Definitely recommend!
