Easy and great way to see the city! Our weather was amazing! Wish the buses ran a little later but it was perfect otherwise.

A good way to see Vancouver.
The hop on hop off bus was a relaxing way to get around Vancouver and get the layout of the city when you only have a day or 2 in the city. I really loved the drive through Stanley Park -- it was beautiful.
Avoid Chinatown
The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because the staff didn't warn us about how sketchy Chinatown is. We got dropped off and walked into a drug den at 11 am. It was the WORST part of town and tried to find a taxi to get out of town. NO luck, the Taxis avoid this area too. We walked to the Gastown area and felt safer.
Vancouver deserves a better hop-on-off service
I have used hop-on hop-off services in many cities around the world, and unfortunately my experience in Vancouver has been by far one the most disappointing. The frequency of the buses is far too low, and when they finally arrive, they are often overcrowded, making it difficult or sometimes impossible to get on. This significantly reduces the usefulness of a service that is supposed to provide flexibility. Another disappointing aspect is the audio guide. No headphones are provided, and access to multilingual commentary requires passengers to use their own phone, headphones, and an app. Compared with hop-on hop-off services in many other cities, I found this unnecessarily inconvenient. In addition, while some stops are conveniently located, others are not particularly close to the tourist attractions they are intended to serve, which means additional walking and further reduces the convenience of the service. Overall, the combination of long waiting times, overcrowded buses, an inconvenient audio-guide system, and the location of some stops made the experience much less enjoyable and practical than expected. I sincerely hope the company reviews the frequency and capacity of its buses and considers ways to improve the experience for international visitors. Vancouver is a wonderful city and deserves a hop-on hop-off service that allows tourists to enjoy it comfortably and efficiently.
