The Family will have the opportunity to spend a unique day of sharing the customs and traditions with the mothers of this community. After a cheerful welcome filled with songs and flowers, they will show us around so we can learn about their community and will share some of their ancestral knowledge with us. For example, we will learn about the plants they still cultivate and use to dye the wool they use to produce their incredible textiles. The little ones will be able to wash and spin the wool. Then we will visit the fields with a small basket to collect some herbs and alfalfa to feed the animals, where we’ll come across sheep, cows, llamas and guinea pigs! Then it’s time to put our own hands in the soil, because we’ll even learn to make handcrafted adobe bricks: the main construction material for the houses in the Andes.
