Your midday excursion will begin in central Florence, where you’ll join up with your guide. Hop aboard a private coach and head through the olive groves and vineyards of the Tuscan countryside. Shortly, you’ll arrive at your destination, a stunning villa and boutique wine estate tucked away in the hills.
Head first to the cellars for a tour and tasting. Learn about the region’s wine production, the effect of the climate on the grapes and the characteristics of Tuscany's famous Gallo Nero and Super Tuscan wines.
No education is complete without tasting for yourself, and your guide will pour red and whites for you to sample, noting how each varies from other Italian varietals. Lunch will be served shortly after, including traditional favorites like bruschetta and a fresh pasta dish. Take a seat in the cellar to eat and drink or, weather permitting, out in the courtyard.
Then enjoy some free time to explore the impressive grounds on your own. Stretch your legs with a walk through the gardens or jump in the private pool to cool off.
After your three hours at the villa are up, you will be returned to central Florence by coach.
