Trip 1 - Giese Park to West Baraboo

Summary Description

Our check in area is next to the parking lot. At the counter we will verify that everyone participating has completed their waivers, and will get everyone fitted with life jackets. From the check in area, we will shuttle guest to the drop off area Giese Park. Starting at Giese Park guest can paddle or float down river. We will pick everyone up at West Baraboo, and will shuttle them back to the parking lot.

Description

In 2002, the final dam on the Baraboo River was removed, making it the longest free-flowing river in the nation to be restored to its pre-settlement condition. Baraboo River Canoe & Kayak Rentals offers scenic Wisconsin kayak and canoe trips along the Baraboo River Corridor, at the base of the Baraboo Bluff Range. Enjoy a self guided leisurely float through the beautiful countryside, or experience an exciting but enjoyable canoe trip through the rapids that flow right through the city of Baraboo!
