Trekking Monte Pellegrino and Visit to the Sanctuary of S. Rosalia
Tour info
Why take this tour?
Set off on a naturalistic excursion on Monte Pellegrino, the mountain massif that embraces the Gulf of Palermo. Enjoy the views of the most beautiful promontory in the world, as described by Goethe, in a walking path inside the Nature Reserve, 10 km of walking, where you will meet the different ecosystems typical of the reserve: pine forests, Mediterranean scrub, oak forests, canyons, natural eddies and rocky areas. An obligatory stop on this excursion on Monte Pellegrino is a visit to the magnificent Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the Patron Saint of Palermo. Admire the external facade that gently leans on the mountain and enter the cave with all its unique details. At the end of the visit, you can regain your energy with other views of the coast and the gulf and continue the walk back towards the center of Palermo.
