Start from via Pannisea and immerse yourself in the pine forest to reach the Grotto about 300 meters away and at a height of 1000 meters. The nature surrounding the cave is extremely delicious, here you will find wild pistachio, elk, swallow's nests in spring and doves that find shelter from the heat in summer.
The nature guide will tell you about the myths and legends of the cave which, according to popular tradition, is the place where the befana was born.
Walk along a short ridge from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Termini Imerese and Palermo.
Then walk towards the ruins of the Abbey of San Giorgio and enter the forest of the same name. After the luxuriant cork oak forest, reach the spectacular panoramic point above Collesano where you can stop for a packed lunch.
Finally, take the dirt road to Gratteri and admire the town from above and then return to the starting point.
