Brief itinerary:
• 7.00 AM leave from our meeting point / hotel
• 8.30 AM arrive at the Mae Klong train market
• 9.30 AM get on a long tail boat to explore the Damnoen Saduak floating market
• 11.30 AM drive back to Bangkok
• 1 PM Thai lunch
• 2 PM visit the Grand Palace with the Emerald Buddha
• 3.30 PM visit Wat Pho, Bangkok’s largest temple and biggest reclining Buddha
• 5 PM (approximately) the tour ends after we arrive the meeting point / hotel
Train market
Started in 1984 as a local market the Mae Klong train market, or Talat Rom Hoop as it is known among locals, sells seafood, poultry, spices, vegetables and more. The vendors pull their tables to the sides to let the train pass and then returns to business as usual.
Damnoen saduak floating market
The Damnoen Saduak floating market is a colorful canal market where boats are filled with fresh, tropical fruits and vegetables that come straight from the farmlands on a daily basis.
Grand palace
Grand Palace and temple of the Emerald Buddha, considered to be the holiest Buddha image and the buildings to showcase Thailand’s best architectural design.
Wat Pho
Wat Pho, temple of the reclining Buddha found by King Rama I in 1788. This is the biggest temple in Bangkok with also the largest reclining Buddha in Bangkok, measuring 15 meters high and 46 meters long.
