A Must See
This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland. It was amazing to watch the dog and his owner working.After the demonstration we were able to ask questions and learned a lot about the mountain sheep, the dogs and how they are trained. The day we went was rainy and windy so the visit was only about 45 minutes. We drove a little over an hour from Galway through the scenic countryside, which was a bonus. When I booked I didn't realize it was so far and we had to figure out our own transportation, so that was a bit of a challenge.
Good but basic
There was only one activity: the sheepdog demonstration. It would have been interesting to see something else (the farm, the shearing, the lambs) and also a translator into French
Superb environment
Interesting experience in a very beautiful place, above a fjord. The farmers were nice. We saw a border collie herding a flock, the shearing of a sheep, and were able to bottle-feed lambs.
Sheep Farm and Sheepdog Demo
This was one of the highlights of the trip! It was amazing to watch the sheepdog demonstration, it was a beautiful setting, and I was not expecting to get to feed and hold baby lambs at the end! This was all very worth it.
Scam
Scam. Beware. There was no service at all from the tour operator. We paid double than what we would have paid if we had booked directly at the sheep farm. The tour was good though thanks to the sheep farmer.
