Summary
Tour info
Why take this tour?
If you're looking for a relaxed and informative “hands-on” Myanmar cooking lesson then join our team of local ladies in central down-town Yangon so we can teach you an authentic Myanmar meal of delicious traditional dishes. The menu of our Myanmar cooking classes changes regularly so we can work in harmony with what's in season at the market. Before we get started in the kitchen, we'll walk to our local street market to give you an insight into how market life works in Yangon and see all the fresh ingredients and exotic produce. We do all the prep so you can focus on cooking along with us. Learning how to make unique Myanmar salads, curries and traditional desserts. After we've all finished the cooking lesson we can sit down and enjoy eating the meal in our comfortable dinning room. We'll even give you a digital copy of the recipes so you can recreate the meal after the cooking class.

About operator:
Our Yangon walking food tours, trishaw tours & cooking classes are a fresh look at Yangon's traditional food for the culinary and culturally curious traveller. We love food & proud to share what Yangon has to offer. We started these food tours in early 2017 because too many visitors miss out on this mostly undiscovered side of Yangon life. Eating a huge variety of dishes at safe, handpicked vendors, passing through fascinating neighborhoods & side-streets, sharing, eating & chatting about life in Yangon. It's an honest introduction to the food but also our culture & past. All tours also include a street market so we can show what goes into your dishes & what some locals put into theirs. Aimed at those who use food to explore the places they visit & encounter the real people of the land. Our Yangon street food tours show you our favourite side of Yangon by eating good food and broadening your understanding of a unique food scene and unique city. By the way, "sa ba" means "eat please"!
