At 10:00 am driver and guide will meet you at the hotel and you will go to the city of Tokmok, which is located in 75 km from Bishkek. The way to Tokmok usually takes an hour and a half. You will drive along the border with Kazakhstan and, if the weather is clear, you will see the beautiful scenery of the Tien Shan mountains. Tokmak was the second largest industrial city in Kyrgyzstan during the Soviet times, and you can see some of the Soviet monuments while driving through the city. Then you will pass through several small but picturesque villages, and you will be able to see the life of the locals outside the capital.
When you reach the historic Burana complex, you can go on a walking tour. Before you enter the territory of Burana, the guide will tell you the introductory part of the tour. Then, you will see the foundations of two ancient mausoleums, where once the rich and famous residents of Balasagun were buried (Burana is located in it's Central part). Then you will come to the tower itself, you will be able to see its ornament and climb to the top, which offers a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley, as well as the hills, under which the ruins of the Central walls and the Palace were found. After visiting the tower, the guide will show you a small museum with various finds made on the territory of the settlement. At the end of the tour you will see stone sculptures, stones with petroglyphs and other ancient stone products collected in the historical complex from all Kyrgyzstan.
After the tour you will go to Bishkek by the same road. In Bishkek, the guide and driver will take you to the hotel or any other place in the city - at your request.
