It had the biggest library of the world and the most famous lighthouse (Pharos). You will start your tour early in the morning at 7am and drive for about 3 hours to reach Alexandria where you will start with visiting the Catacombs of Kom el-Shokaffa dating back to 1st century A.D., Pompey's pillar and the ruins of Serapis temple, Fort of Qaitbay dating back to the 15th century and built over the site of Alexandria Lighthouse (Pharos) to defend Egypt against Ottoman invasion. Then you will have lunch at a good quality seafood restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean, later you will proceed to the Roman Amphitheater and the Library of Alexandria. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
