Meet your tour guide and group at the tour office in central Rovaniemi or selected hotels (please refer to Important info for more details). Get suited up in extra warm winter gear and listen to a short orientation and safety demonstration, then take off on your snowmobile. Each machine carries two people; please indicate when reserving if you would like your own snowmobile, additional price applies.
Ride along snowy tracks through the Lappish wilderness, past frozen bodies of water and through snow-covered trees in dense forests for a few hours.
Arrive at the Arctic Snow Hotel for a guided tour. Learn about the construction of the building, made entirely of ice and snow, and its daily functioning. Admire the mix of architectural styles and get a peek inside some of the common areas.
Continue to a warm, wooden Kota teepee for a lunch of traditional Finnish glow-fried salmon. Then head back for Rovaniemi, taking in more quiet, icy wilderness on your way.
