Tierra del Fuego and Beagle Channel Combo Tour by Train and Boat

Summary

The excursion will start with 8 am pickup from your hotel or pier to take you to Tierra del Fuego National Park, which is located just 7.5 miles (12 km) away from the city of Ushuaia. Inside the park, ride the Train of the End of the World (tickets included with park admission). See different species of forest vegetation such as bushes, beech trees, ñires, Indio’s beard, and flowers, and make different stops to enjoy the panoramic views and take pictures. Continue on to Verde Lake and then to Lapataia Bay, places where you can see beaver dams and peatlands. On the way back, stop at La Roca. You will return to Ushuaia at 1 pm. After 2 hours of free time, at 3 pm you will be transferred to the pier to start your navigation of the Beagle Channel. The ship will stop at Los Pajaros Island, where you can see wildlife including skuas, black-browed albatross, steam ducks, cauquenes, gaviotas, cooks gaviotas, and gray gaviotas. On De los Lobos Island, part of the Bridges Archipelago, the main attractions are sea lions. Next up, reach Les Eclaireirs Island, where you can see a lighthouse and the royal and imperial cormorants. You can also learn the story of the SS Monte Cervantes's shipwreck many years ago in the 1930s. On Karelo Island, you will have the option to take a 30-minute walk around and see the distinctive Yámanas's shell middens and also flora and fauna (weather dependent in winter). On your return to Ushuaia, be amazed by the incredible landscape of Martial's Mountain. Return to your hotel or the pier at approximately 6 pm.
