The tour begins with a traditional Roman breakfast, during which you can enjoy your choice of coffee and watch as a chef prepares fresh cannoli. The first stop after breakfast is the Paciotti Gourmet Shop, where you can taste cheeses and meats along with aged balsamic vinegar, truffles, and local wine.
Next head to Pizzarium, where renowned Chef Gabriele Bonci, often called "the Michelangelo of pizza," makes more than 80 types of pizza per day.
Then, stroll through the largest food market in Rome and meet local families who have been running food stalls for generations. Taste buffalo mozzarella, bruschetta, and eggplant parmigiana along the way.
After the market you will visit a traditional trattoria, where you can sample local wine and choose between fresh carbonara (pasta with an egg-based white sauce), amatriciana (pasta with red sauce), or cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper pasta).
The tour wraps up with a scoop of Italian gelato at Fatamorgana Gelateria, where more than 60 different flavors are available.
