Why take this tour?

Vác is one of the oldest towns of Hungary and the second oldest bishopry seat of the country. This beautiful Hungarian town on the Danube shore, for 30 km from Budapest is rich in sights and history. A really pleasant halfway excursion from the rushed city! Though not visited nearly as much as either Szentendre or Visegrád on the opposite shore, it can become a pleasant and enjoyable stop over in Hungary. See the splendid baroque houses on the main square, visit the 18th century chatedral built by Italian masters, stroll on the Danube Promenade of Vác, see one of the most unique museums of Hungary, Memento Mori, the oldest baroque bridge and the only Triumphal Arch of Hungary, erected more, than 200 years before!
