At 5:36 PM on Good Friday, March 27, 1964 a devastating 9.2 Earthquake struck Southcentral Alaska. Communities were leveled and families were displaced. Anchorage suffered massive damage, and the quake will remain forever part of the city's history. Earthquake Park, on the western tip of Anchorage, was created to showcase nature's incredible display of power. As a team, Anchorage Trolley and Go Hike Alaska will tell you the intriguing story of what happened on that disastrous day.
