On the highest railway across the Alps, the Bernina Express climbs up to the glistening glaciers before descending to the palms of Italy far below. This rail link between Northern and Southern Europe builds bridges between regions with different languages and cultures. New: Starting on 11 May 2019, the Bernina Express will run from Landquart into Valposchiavo and on into the Italian town of Tirano. The route to/from Landquart through the Prättigau and the wild Zügen Gorge between Davos and Filisur prolongs the pleasure by just under 45 kilometres.
