At a local jazz cafe, we'll learn Japanese over soothing music while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea included in the course. Delicious cakes are also available for sale. Instead of memorizing endless words and grammar points, we'll focus on Japanese you can use right now on your travel, and I'll make sure each traveler has their own goal of something they want to be able to say, and personalize the teaching to their hopes.
Survival Japanese Communication
For first time visitors to Japan, it can be difficult to get around with no knowledge of Japanese. Most people don't speak English, so if you want to go to local places, you'll frequently run into communication barriers. That's why most visitors get stuck going to the same tourist spots.
I'll teach you skills that will help you break into the real Tokyo. You'll be able to order what you want, ask what and where something is, and also learn phrases specialized to you and your particular experience in Japan.
We'll start of going to a local jazz cafe with a charming atmosphere for some basic practice, and then go to a local standing bar to mingle with locals. It can be scary if you're shy, but the people are very warm and friendly, so I'm sure you'll be able to make your first Japanese friend!
- One drink is included at the standing bar we will visit (non-alcoholic choices are also available)
