Survival Japanese Communication
Summary
Tour info
Why take this tour?
For first time visitors to Japan, it can be difficult to get around with no knowledge of Japanese. Most people don't speak English, so if you want to go to local places, you'll frequently run into communication barriers. That's why most visitors get stuck going to the same tourist spots. I'll teach you skills that will help you break into the real Tokyo. You'll be able to order what you want, ask what and where something is, and also learn phrases specialized to you and your particular experience in Japan. We'll start of going to a local jazz cafe with a charming atmosphere for some basic practice, and then go to a local standing bar to mingle with locals. It can be scary if you're shy, but the people are very warm and friendly, so I'm sure you'll be able to make your first Japanese friend!

About operator:
With over 300 bars crammed into the size of a football field, Shinjuku Nichome is the densest gay bar district in the world. In recent years, it's gained popularity worldwide as a landmark of LGBT culture in Japan, but visiting tourists often don't make it beyond the five or six most visible bars and clubs. We want to help you break into the community and find the real nichome!
