After greeting your instructor at the Carcavelos Surf School on Praia de Cacavelos, you’ll receive a modern surfboard and wetsuit. Listen to a short safety briefing and then plunge into learning the basic techniques of surfing. On the sand, you’ll master pushing yourself up off of your board and will perfect your surfing stance. Throughout the lesson, feel free to ask your Portuguese Surfing Federation-accredited instructor for helpful tips. Then, once you feel confident, take to the water and attempt to ride the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Throughout your lesson feel free to revitalize on shaded sun loungers before returning to the water.

About operator:
The Carcavelos Surf School came in 2001, with the first school of surf on the beach in Carcavelos. Teachers are experienced and accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation. The school has facilities that are appropriate to students' needs (clothing, hygiene) and a wide range of boards and suits of neoprene. The classes are for students of all ages and different levels.
