Can’t miss experience! Temple of Poseidon and dinner at sunset
Do not miss this - Temple of Poseidon at sunset was breathtaking! But I have to say the highlight of the trip was the amazing dinner our driver Dimitris arranged for us afterward. Not only did he explain the history and mythology of the coastline and sights but then took us to a local Tavern that had been open since 1947 that he shared was one of the favorite places his father took him to as a kid. We literally picked our fish from the ice pallet from the days catch. We’ve never had such great and fresh fish! The family serving us was friendly and took amazing care of us. Dimitris didn’t rush us and encouraged us to enjoy our evening. We can’t speak highly enough about his service, friendliness, hospitality and knowledge. Would definitely book a tour with him again. Recommend Olive Sea travel. We did 2 tours with them and could not be more pleased. Thank you!
Stefanos is outstanding as a guide.
Stefanos is an excellent guide and was highly recommended by my daughter, who used him earlier this summer. His English is excellent, and he makes sure you know the plan for meeting him at the end of the excursion when you are dropped off at a site. He is very proud of his Greek heritage and explains how many of the words we currently use originated from the Greek language. He also has a great knowledge of his country's history. We were fortunate to have him as our guide on the second tour the next day. I would highly recommend him as a guide.
