Driver, Armando, was wonderful. Bus needs some updating
Our driver Armando was wonderful. He kept us informed about times and even took photos for us once inside the Stones!! And wonderful pictures they were!! The only issue we has was not with Armando, but with the bus. The speakers on board were very muffled, making it difficult to understand what he was saying while traveling, especially as he was trying to point out places of interest along our route.
Slightly underwhelming tour for incredible stones!
First, the meeting point was a bit tricky to find. Thought it was sent on a map where to go, there were no walking instructions and we found ourselves walking around the building. The driver, Armando, had a habit of saying "ladies and gents" during his whole presentation of sites while we departed London, along with some slightly inappropriate commentary. While the Stonehenge site was incredible, the guided tour part was limited. We had a great tour of the area around the stones, but basically no description of the stones or any unique facts we could learn only from the guide. This was disappointing because of the cost and search for an inner circle tour that the guided part was underwhelming.
Stonehenge Inner Circle Tour
The Stonehenge experience itself was fabulous. My nephew is visiting from overseas and it's the one thing he asked if we could do. We were both massively impressed. The only down side for me was the transport. I was expecting a luxury coach experience but that's not what we got. The bus was old and the seats were tatty and uncomfortable. Plus we were encouraged not to use the toilet! It said 'Emergency Use Only' on the door! For the money I paid I expected the journey to be same level as the visit. On the upside our driver/guide was excellent and informative. I couldn't fault him.
Nice tour
Nice tour, we had an excellent guide and got to spend enough time walking around in the inner circle.
Great Experience
Nice coach, great driver, he talked to us in the beginning and end of each drive. He gave us a description and background of the landmarks we drove by, all done in a funny and approachable way. The local tour guide was AMAZING, She knew everything and was friendly and professional. All in all, it was a great tour. Could have let us a little longer to browse at the Souvenir shop on site.
