Summary

Listen to a short safety briefing and paddling on dry land, then get fitted for all your kayaking equipment. Jump in your kayak and start paddling, following your guide through the archipelago made up of over 24,000 small islands stretching over 19 miles (30 km) into the Baltic Sea. As you glide through the pristine, rocky islands topped with verdant vegetation, many of which are uninhabited, learn about the area's history, geology and native wildlife. Stop at an out-of-the-way island for a refreshing dip in the ocean and a traditional Swedish lunch on the rocky shore. After lunch, head back the way you came at a leisurely pace, passing other islands along the way. When you return to your departure point, enjoy 'fika', a traditional Swedish coffee and pastry break.
