Summary

After our meeting point we will drive 20min to the north of Metsovo (1150m.), to the Aoos springs lake (1350m.). Help is provided to bring all the necessary staff and material for our Stand Up Paddling (SUP) activity to the lake Stand up paddling is a relatively easy and fast learning activity where people can move and travel without particular difficulty. However, it will take some time to adapt and the time of adaptation differs from person to person. So, without restricting ourselves, we will get to know SUP and its techniques by doing some balance exercises and familiarize with the sport. Once we do that, we will try to explore the creeks with the crystal clear water, keeping always a safe distance from the coast. For people who already have some experience on a sup board, we can start immediately with the exploration of the hidden places of the Aoos lake!

Stand-up paddling was initially based on Polynesian fishermen who rode upright in their canoe. Later, it was "reborn" in Hawaii by Surf teachers and slowly conquered the hearts of all those who love sports, fun and of course water! Stand Up Paddling (SUP) is a combination of rowing and surfing. Due to the fact that it is a water sport, as well as the fact that everyone can practice it, makes it a very popular and pleasant sport with lots of benefits. Aoos Springs Lake is a mountainous artificial lake that combines a unique labyrinth of streams, natural small lakes and extensive mountain meadows. The shoreline of the lake is lacy with beautifully wooded small fjords and many islands formed inside the lake. Combined with its crystal clear water, it is the perfect place for exploring it on a SUP board!
