See all that St. Kitts has to offer during this port of call excursion covering the island's beautiful outdoor landscapes, unique culture, and its hundreds of years of history. It's a great way to get a taste for this Caribbean island if you're looking to do more than simply hit the beach.
Start your excursion with a pickup at the cruise ship port, continuing to Basseterre, the largest city on the island. Explore historic Independence Square, which was once called Pall Mall Square, and browse the nearby shops to pick up some souvenirs. Proceed next to Romney Manor, the site of Caribelle Batik fabric, making the trip there along a beautiful coastal road (admission not included). Watch as artisans work to produce finished textiles, putting the cloth through an intricate process of dyeing and drawing to create the finished product. If you'd like, purchase a few batik fashion items, wall art or accessories at the on-site store.
Then head to Brimstone Hill Fortress (admission not included), a defensive position first occupied by the British in the 17th century, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Feel free to purchase an optional entrance inside the fort with your tour, the fee for which supports further restoration.
Finish your St. Kitts excursion with a drive back to Port Zante to meet your ship. If you have extra time, add in some shopping and admire the incredible views before your ship departs the island.
