The pedestrian route we are going to make goes through one of the most relevant structures that make up the Alviela Springs Complex. The source of Olhos d 'Água is an important source of our country and is located, like others in the region, on the edge of the Estremenho Limestone Massif, from where water has been supplied to Lisbon for public consumption since 1880.
The water that springs from this spring comes from the rain that seeps into the Santo António Plateau and is led here by a complex network of underground galleries that make up the hundreds of caves in the region.
With a surrounding of great landscape beauty, this route culminates with the visit of the Alviela Live Science Center - Carsoscope
