Disappointing - cancelled 7.30pm the night before the morning tour - citing weather then offering a lo tour the same day

We booked the morning Blue Lagoon & Trogir half-day speedboat tour for our family of four, and my parents were particularly looking forward to it. At approximately 7:30pm the NIGHT BEFORE, Gray Line informed us that our morning tour was cancelled. At that point it was far too late to realistically find and book a comparable alternative for the following morning. We were offered an afternoon tour or a “complimentary upgrade” to a full-day boat tour from 9am–5:30pm. Unfortunately, we already had afternoon plans, which is exactly why we had specifically booked the morning half-day tour. What was particularly frustrating was being told weather was the reason for the cancellation while at the same time being offered a full-day boat tour. That understandably left us questioning the explanation we were given. We did receive a refund, but that isn't really the point. When people are travelling internationally, their time in each destination is limited. Cancelling an excursion at 7:30pm the night before gives customers almost no opportunity to reorganise their day. My parents had been really looking forward to this experience, and instead we were left scrambling to work out what to do in Split the following morning. Very disappointing communication and an awful way to handle a last-minute cancellation.

Great experience!...

Great experience! Beautiful stops! Our captain was great and so fun. Even saw a beautiful sunset on the way back!

Disappointing

We took the half-day tour in the afternoon and were a bit disappointed: too little time in Trogir, we barely managed to make a short visit to the cathedral; we stopped at one of the least beautiful spots of the Blue Lagoon; at Ciovo it stops near a beach club and a very crowded beach.

Amazing experience - this...

Amazing experience - this area is gorgeous. We also had a terrific boat - comfortable seating and a shade cover. The captain was a super hero - helping people, other boats, etc along the way. Would highly recommend!

A fun way to spend 1/2 day!

A fun way to spend half a day! The speed boat experience made it unique and enjoyable. Nice people shared our trip on board today and there were lots of places to sit including the back where you got wet from the spray! Our guide Paula and our driver were lovely. Paula took photos of my family and I in the sea together and had a great music playlist! I could listen to ABBA all day long. You stop 3 times and can swim twice ( in the blue lagoon ( which is full of boats in August) and off a beach at stop 3. We just lay down and slept for an hour on the pebble beach. Only bit that might be a concern for those with less mobility is how you get in/ out of the boat at different stops as the boats are tied together due to space issues so you must climb across several to get to land. Lots of help is given so no chance of falling in the sea but a unique experience which I have never come across before and I’ve taken a lot of boat tours. I would recommend it to get out of Spilt and see some of the other islands.
