St Bernadette witnessed the Lourdes Virgin Mary apparitions in February 1858. Afterward, in July 1866 she joined the Sisters of Charity in Nevers where she died on 16th April 1879. In this 1-Day tour, you will depart from Paris. Your guide will join you for a 3-hour walking spiritual guide in the Sanctuary of Nevers. The Space Bernadette Soubirous is a former convent and the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Nevers, in 1970, it was converted into a Sanctuary. You can find the museum, created in 1958, rooms for pilgrims, the chapel, where you can admire the saint’s remains, a grotto for contemplation, beautiful gardens where she used to stroll, St. Joseph’s Chapel, and the statue of Our Lady of Waters to whom the saint prayed to. Attend the 11:45 mass, enjoy your lunch with wine, and after, you´ll have some free time to discover the city of Nevers. Finally, take your train for your return journey to Paris.
