Epic journey
It's a long day, be prepared, have your waterproofs ready for the waterfall. This is a straight drive from Reykjavic to Vik and back, with 6 stops: a break stop, 2 waterfalls, beach, glacier,meal stop in Vik, toilets in each place. Our guide Micah was superb for his local & environmental knowledge, and such a nice guy. At the break stop you MUST try the cinnamon buns. At Vik you have a choice of burger place or soup bar. We opted for the soup, choice of 7 flavours with bread & free refill. Great experience! The weather was misty and this added to the atmosphere of the locations. Yes, you do get to walk behind the second waterfall (that's why you brought your waterproofs). Returning home, we are watching the drama KATLA on Netflix, which was filmed in Vik and tha black beach. Once again, thanks Micah for an epic journey!
Amazing tour experience in Sep, 2026
I loved it! The bus was very comfortable, we had a smaller bus and therefore smaller group, and it was easy to get to places, seeing many beautiful views on the way 🗻🏔️ It was basically perfect, and the weather was on our side. Either way, you should prepare and have a waterproof outfit for the best experience. There are charging ports in the bus, free WiFi (since 4G doesn’t work in many areas). And there was enough time to see all the allocated spots. The driver & guide Petra was very accommodating! I’d choose her again if I was able to
Peak times with new familiar faces
Great purview of Iceland's nature. Seeing, hearing about and experiencing in the practicality of a small bus in our case. We drove with Petra - excellent guide for the day.
Iceland Always Amazes
We had two days with our tour guide, Petra: first for the Golden Circle and second for the Southern Coast. She is kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She made the tours great. We enjoyed these amazing places and all their beauty and wonder. Thanks for two amazing tours!
