Snowshoeing on the Transylvanian hills - Day trip from Bucharest

This is a great way to spend a winter day! You will be transferred to Moeciu area, in Transylvania, not far from the Bran Castle. You will enjoy around 4 - 6 hrs of exploring the hilly countryside, on snowshoes! You will enjoy great views with the mountains, and have the chance to see the country on a slow pace.

Since we are in Transylvania, and close to Bran Castle, we will pass by it and you will also see the castle from the outside.

We will end the day with a delicious meal at a traditional Romanian restaurant.

It takes approximately 3 hrs and 15 minutes to get from Bucharest to Moeciu area. It will take almost the same to get back to Bucharest in the evening.

Since this activity depends on the amount of snow, we have the right to cancel it in case there is no/not enough snow. Instead, we can offer a hiking tour in the same area.

The snowshoeing activity is offered between January 5 th until March 5 th.

Snowshoeing is a very nice way to explore the country on a slow pace. It allows you to take your time and take in the great scenery around you. This activity will take you on some really nice routes where one can observe the rural life. The trail goes on the hills, overlooking the mountains and villages, sometimes through forests, or by the local's houses.

Using the snowshoes makes it easier to walk than without them, especially in deep, fresh snow.
