Summary

Your tour begins with a pickup from a centrally located meeting point in Tromso. Meet your guide and settle into the vehicle for the drive to your destination. Upon arrival on Kvaloya, at a location selected taking into consideration weather and snow conditions, listen as your guide gives a brief demonstration on how to use the snowshoes. Once you are familiar and comfortable with the equipment, strap on your snowshoes, grab your hiking poles, and set out with the rest of your group. Following your guide, hike to one of the island's summits, surrounded by great views over majestic mountains and fiords. Make a few stops along the way; get insight from your guide about the Arctic landscape, and enjoy a traditional taste of Norway with a hot drink and lefse (cake). Afterward, your tour concludes with a drop-off back at the original departure point.
