Make your way to the Cabo San Lucas marina, where you’ll board a boat for this trip through the Sea of Cortez, which diver Jacques Cousteau once called “the world’s aquarium.” The captain will steer for one of Cabo’s two best bays for snorkeling, Santa Maria Bay or Chileno Bay—the best snorkel spot on any day depends on weather and sea conditions.
Slip into the water for an hour-long snorkeling tour, watching for the bright fish and other marine wildlife that thrive in the Sea of Cortez. The sheltered bays are good for even beginning snorkelers, and offer great visibility for much of the year.
When you return to the boat, the crew will serve a hot buffet of Mexican food, which you can enjoy with a drink from the open bar. Find a comfortable place to relax on deck as you cruise back towards Cabo San Lucas, stopping to see the Arch, Lover’s Beach, and the sea lion colony that’s home to hundreds of the marine mammals. This 3.5-hour cruise concludes at the original departure point.
